At OIPA Cameroon, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals, students, veterinarians, and animal lovers from around the world to visit Cameroon and actively contribute to animal welfare while discovering the country’s rich cultural and touristic potential.
By joining our volunteer program, you will: Support the protection and welfare of working animals (donkeys, horses, dogs, cats, and livestock) Assist in community animal health outreach programs Participate in vaccination and treatment campaigns Support animal rescue and rehabilitation activities Help deliver animal welfare education in schools and communities Work alongside local veterinarians and animal welfare professionals This hands-on experience allows you to make a meaningful impact while gaining field experience in animal care and community development.
Cameroon is often called “Africa in Miniature” because of its diverse landscapes, cultures, and wildlife. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to visit breathtaking touristic sites and experience the country’s rich traditions. Top Touristic Experiences Mount Cameroon – The highest peak in West and Central Africa, ideal for hiking and adventure. Waza National Park – Famous for elephants, giraffes, lions, and antelopes. Limbe Wildlife Centre – A sanctuary for rescued primates and wildlife. Korup National Park – One of Africa’s oldest tropical rainforests. Bamenda Highlands – Beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, and cultural heritage. Kribi Beach – White sand beaches and fresh seafood. Ekom-Nkam Waterfalls – One of the most spectacular waterfalls in Central Africa.
